My neighbor works for an autobody shop that repairs salvaged vehicles. They tend to be very decent models, and he’ll drive something for a week while testing it before sale. Here is what is in his driveway this week. Lexus LC500. Nice.

[Edit: I realize I should have walked around the back to verify the model. Not only did I make a mistake when typing, since I meant RC not RX, but I guess I was just wrong. Leave it to Oppo to gently correct me.]

I really, really, really want to drive one of those for several hours to see if it’s comfortable.  The LC500 is my obtainable dream car, although I prefer mine in blue with the red interior.

I feel dirty saying this but I REALLY like it in silver. I might pick that with a red or blue interior over the gorgeous blue paint.

White is not a good color for the LC500

No, white is not a good color at all unless there’s a LOT of pearl mixed in.  The LC500 needs a metallic paint to really highlight the curves and edges in the body.

I have driven a few for short distances on numerous occasions and have always felt just fine.

Doubtful that driving one of those for any length of time would be any less as lovely as you imagine it would be.

If there were some way to black out the roof... or if it had been designed with a canopy-black roof with minimal seams... it would be great.

Everything below the window line looks quite good, especially considering how over-styled and ugly most Lexus are.

It is just that roof.... the shape is nice, but the a-pillar to floating rails and odd c-pillar blackout is weird and unresolved.
